Makita SkyHook Motor 110v AC power head

The Makita 10 amp 50-60hz 110 volt AC power angle drill motor was picked and adapted to drive the SkyHook winch system because of its durability, internal clutch system, quality and compatibility with the 2-speed Harken winch. It makes the SkyHook rope rescue winch system the most versatile, efficient and cost-effective manual to electric-powered winch system available.

The Makita right-angle drill is fitted with a stainless steel drive bit that fits into the top shaft of the Harken winch handle socket. The power head is cradled on an aluminum bracket that attaches to the rear edge of the Classic and Lightweight winch base plates at the anchoring hole. A Ground Fault Interrupter or GFI is required when the SkyHook / Makita AC power head is used. This is a safeguard to protect the operators from electric shock.
